Bauer Discussion: Frank emailed to the ARISS-I team the URL for information on the fall meeting. The website covers the AMSAT Symposium as well as the ARISS meeting. There is a call for papers for the AMSAT symposium (held just before the ARISS meeting), and Frank would like to encourage anyone interested to submit an abstract. Good topics would be technical items, how teams are working together, operations (including school groups, etc.), external payload ideas, or whatever interests you that is of interest to others. About half a day will be set aside for papers dealing with education. There will also be a poster session. This is a good time for the AMSAT-NA folks to get to know the ARISS international team better, and a good time for ARISS International Team to let the AMSAT folks know what we are doing. Now is the time to respond to the call for papers. The ARISS meeting will start with a tour of the Udvar-Hazy annex to the National Air & Space Museum on Sunday, October 10, but by arriving just a few days earlier ARISS members can attend the AMSAT meeting as well. Ken Pulfer noted that he is scheduled to be in Geneva at that time, and will not make the meeting. Robin noted that during this meeting it will be time to elect the ARISS Executive Officers. An email will be forthcoming. 2) New business (administrative only) None.
