ARISS I Agenda:

Administrative Session

1. New business (administrative only)

Gaston reported receiving information from Attila Matas (ITU) about the API document (Advance Publication Information) submitted to the ITU as required. The ARISS API, listing all ARISS frequencies, was finalized and sent to the ITU by the Italian Regulatory Authority on request of AMSAT-Italia, after having been discussed at the ARISS Annual Meeting last October. Attila has stated that the ITU is accepting letters and memos of support for the ARISS IFIC (International Frequency Information Circular) from member countries. On request by Gaston, the Belgian Institute for Postal Services and Telecommunications has accepted to support the ARISS IFIC. ***ARISS team members are asked to urge their national regulatory authorities to support the IFIC, as well.

General Session

2. Columbus module status, Presenters: G. Bertels, K. Ransom

Kenneth said that all paperwork relative to the equipment upgrading has been submitted. There has been no response to it as of yet.

The Ham TV project is progressing steadily. The Ham TV technical group meets by teleconference one week, and then the Ham TV administrative group meets by teleconference the next week.

At Dayton Lou plans to give a presentation on the Ham TV project. This will be based on material provided by Kayser Italia and the Italian ARISS team members. We will seek ESA’s approval for further distribution of this presentation.

3. New business

The next ARISS International monthly meeting will be June 19, 2012.

Respectfully submitted,
Rosalie White, K1STO
