ARISS I Agenda:
Administrative Session
1. Approval of the 2010 ARISS Board elections, Presenter: G. Bertels
Elections were coordinated by Daniel Lamoureux, and the following were presented as the slate of officers, each unopposed: Chair, Gaston Bertels, ON4WF; Vice-Chair, Mark Steiner, K3MS; Secretary/Treasurer, Rosalie White, K1STO. There were no objections and the election was confirmed as official.
2. New US delegate nominated, Presenter: G. Bertels
AMSAT-NA’s President, Barry Baines nominated Dave Taylor,W8AAS as the new US delegate, and he was welcomed by the ARISS-I delegates.
3. QSL cards - status, Presenter: G. Bertels
Gaston will have a mockup for delegates to view and an order of 15,000 was placed. With an active ham onboard, Doug Wheelock, current supplies are almost exhausted. Rosalie reported that the ARRL is running out this very week, and Gaston offered to send some more to them for the short-term need.

General Session
5. Columbus module status, Presenters: G. Bertels, K. Ransom
Gaston reported that ESA intends to support the inclusion of HAM-TV (Amateur TV) capability in the Columbus Module as an enhancement for education contacts. The proposal being considered is to chain ground stations together to increase the time with a ground station within the required range for successful signal reception. The Amateur Radio on Columbus Module Working Group (ARCOL WG) is exploring the possibilities for this system.
Kenneth Ransom reported that the plans are going forward for the set up of the Ericsson radios in the Columbus Module, including preparations for the launch of needed power supplies and cables. Nespoli is being trained for equipment installation and operation, with installation anticipated for early 2011.
6. ARISSat-1 status, Presenters: L. McFadin, G. Smith
Lou reported that the team is conducting the vibration tests on the flight unit this very morning. There are a few last-minute problems that are being resolved, but progress is being made. Software development still has a few last-minute items to finish, but readiness for shipment is anticipated within the week.
Mark Severance and Sergey Samburov discussed some shipping details.
Gaston commended the US and Russian teams for all their hard work in preparing the satellite for launch from the ISS.
