ARISS I Agenda:

Frank congratulated the Japanese representatives on the successful addition of the Japanese lab to the ISS, joining a very international space station with components from Russia, Europe, and the US.

Administrative Session

0. Frank would like to have presenters start the practice of providing, in advance, electronic copies of material to be discussed at the telecon.

1. ARWG and ARISS-I Face to Face Meetings, Moscow, status, Presenter: M. Severance

Frank discussed the list of meetings provided by Mark Severance. One addition is a Project Selection and Use Committee meeting on Wednesday night prior to the start of the main ARISS-I meetings.

The agenda for the ARISS-I meetings on Thursday and Friday is very full, so we will have to work hard to get through it all. If anyone has any ideas on what could be removed, please email their suggestions to Frank and Carol.

Mark Severance covered the meeting logistics, and emphasized that travel plans need to be turned in to Carol Jackson as soon as they are finalized. There will be videoconferencing capabilities in the Volga NASA conference room.

2. Richard Garriott activities, Presenter: F. Bauer

Frank decided to postpone discussion on this item until the Moscow meeting.

3. ARCOL Proposal, Presenter: G. Bertels

File:

Gaston gave a quick overview, and ARCOL will be discussed in further detail in Moscow.

4. New Business (administrative only)

None.

General Session

5. SuitSat-2 status, Presenter: L. McFadin

The SuitSat-2 team had a meeting in Phoenix, AZ this past weekend to continue progress. Lou would like to thank the folks at Microchip for their support of this project. The team is continuing to refine the solar array mounting and deployment plans, although there still needs to be a discussion with the Russian team in Moscow next month. Tom Clark reported on some of the technical details that will be soon available in SuitSat documentation available to ARISS.

6. New business

None.

The next international partners meeting will be face-to-face in Moscow 7/17 and 7/18. After that the next international partners telecon will be the third Tuesday in August, 8/19 at 11:15 UTC.

Respectfully submitted,

Mark Steiner, K3MS, for the ARISS Team
